Logo - Project ConnectDear Project Connect User,

Exciting things are happening with Project Connect!

I am pleased to inform you that the national headquarters of the TelecomPioneers (TC has released enhancements to the Project Connect (PC) program you are currently using.

The enhanced version of Project:Connect has replaced the current version online
http://projectconnect.telecompioneers.org/  as of June 15, 2007.

Enhancements:

At the request of the TelecomPioneers Board of Directors, TCP has enhanced PC from an engaging, fun, user-friendly standpoint.

Among the many added features, the predominant enhancement is a central story line.  Players now become members of TechForce - a secret international elite network of kids from around the world whose mission is to protect the earth and create a better future for mankind through technology.   Each game has a new mission for the player to accomplish.  The ability to compete for high scores against users anywhere in the
world is another prime feature.

One thing that didn't change is that the online program is still FREE to all users!

Important Information:

Due to the upgrade to a new system and the high score feature, TCP is unable to transfer your entity's current usernames and passwords into the new enhanced system and you will have to re-register before users can access the games.  Please call or e-mail any of the contacts listed below to assist you in your re-registration process.

Because TCP has implemented the high scores feature, the first time users log in to the games with the user code (provided to the entity contact upon (re)registration,) each user will be asked to create their own TechForce username and password.  Usernames must be approved by the entity contact before they are allowed to be posted to the website for
the world to see.  The procedures on how approve or deny usernames are clearly documented in the enhanced program (see step-by-step process below.)

At the home page, the user will click on the <Play Game> link of the game they wish to launch.

The first time users log in; they should click the <New User> link at the bottom of the screen.  That will bring up the new user information needed to create an individual TechForce account.

Users enter first name, last name, school code (provided to the entity contact upon registration, example entity code: 789360,) year of birth, gender and the username and password they'd like to use and click <Submit.>  Administration page(s) under the "Pending" heading.  For the entity contact (David Trout) to see her username and password, click the + sign next to her name.  To approve her username and password, click <Approve.>  To deny her username and password, click <Deny> and to edit
her username and password click <Edit.>  Upon approval, if Zorah generates the high score it will be populated on the website.

After the initial creation of the TechForce username and password, users will only be required to enter their approved username and password to access the games.

Each time a new user submits a username and password the entity contact will be sent an automatic email reminding them to approve deny or edit the account.

Support:
